Bad Dürnberg Salt Mine
Salt Mine at Hallein, Salzburg
The salt of the Hallein Dürrnberg forms the name of the city and region of Salzburg. The "white gold" of the church dignitaries financed the baroque old town of Salzburg. At the Bad Dürrnberg health resort, high above the Celtic city of Hallein, you can also visit a Celtic village apart from the salt mine. Exciting events such as time travel to the salt worlds, company excursions, association trips, exclusive guided tours or children’s birthday parties – the salt worlds and the salt mine offer something unique and unforgettable for everybody. We especially recommend the salt event ticket which includes train journey, bus transfer and the salt mine.
We also recommend visiting the Celtic museum in Hallein to learn details about the exciting people of the Celts and salt mining.
